ABOUT THE ADMIRMALS

Portland Rosebuds was the name of two professional men's ice hockey teams in Portland, Oregon in the early 1900s. Both teams played their home games at the Portland Ice Arena. The first Rosebuds are notable for being the first American based team to compete for the Stanley Cup. The second Rosebuds are notable in that their roster was used to build the NHL expansion Chicago Blackhawks.  Come now-a-days, the Portland Winterhawks are the primary hockey outfit in what is one of the most underrated hockey cities in the United States.  Formerly, serving as home to the Admirals from S27 to S36 before moving to San Francisco... Under potential new management, the interest in bringing the SHL back to Portland has never been higher.

Portland Moda Center
